Learn how to make your own unique all natural handcrafted soap
Join us at our studio at The Fold and learn how to make natural soap using the cold process method. You will learn all about this traditional soap making method, the science of soapmaking, the different oils and butters you can use to make an all natural soap without palm oil. You will find out about essential oils, their benefits and how they can be used in soapmaking and how to colour your soaps naturally using botanical powders, infusions and clays.
You will get to make your own soap using your own special blend of essential oils, botanicals and natural colourants to make a totally unique soap, just for you.

Workshop Details
We provide you with everything you need to make a 500g loaf of soap (about 5 bars of soap). We will provide you with a beginner friendly recipe that you will be able to personalise with your own choice of scent, botanical additives including clays, organic oats and exfoliants and natural colourants. We send you away with all the information you need to cut and cure your soaps at home and a soap recipe so you can make more of your bespoke soap in your own time.
We will teach you all about how to formulate and make your own soap safely, plus loads of soap making tips and tricks with lots of design advice so you can confidently make beautiful skin kind soaps.
The workshop will last 4 hours - please wear long sleeves.
Your Trainer
Kelly is the founder of Small Kindness, a sustainable soap business based at The Fold. As a scientist and educator for over 20 years, with thousands of bars of natural soap under her belt she will be able to guide you through the science of soap making, sharing her love for a craft that is a joyous mix of science and creativity.
Cancellation Details:
If you need to cancel your place on the workshop a full refund will be given if you cancel more than 2 weeks before the date of the workshop, any cancellation within two weeks will incur the full cost.
If I have to cancel the Workshop you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.
All workshops are only suitable for persons aged 16 or over .
